The Karakol, is one of the latest additions to the Kizlyar lightweight camp/hunting knives series. The design of this blade is loosely based on the Canadian belt knife, which has a long history in the North American region. The leaf shaped blade is quite versatile in its functionality and can be used for everything from basic food preparation to more specialised hunting tasks of skinning, carving, boning etc.

The Karakol blade is made from AUS8 (8A) Japanese high carbon rust resistant steel, which is hardened to 57-59 HRC. The blade is 2.3 mm thick and flat ground sharpened at about 23 degrees. The secondary saber grind bevel starts about 2/3rd way up the blade, giving the knife that necessary rigid spine.

Fluted rivets are used in combination with Appoxy. glue to firmly hold the Caucasian walnut handle slabs onto the knife's full tang. The tang protrudes slightly at the base, in order to protect the timber from cracking, if the knife is accidentally dropped. The protruding pommel is also handy as a tool for breaking glass in case of emergency and many other tasks.

The knife comes with a fitted leather sheath with single snap clip to secure the knife in place.
